Director/Leader of the Special Investigation Unit for Westfield Insurance

Steve has worked in the Special Investigations Unit of Westfield for over 20 years. Prior to beginning his insurance career, he served over 21 years in Law Enforcement before his retirement. He is an honor graduate of Saint Leo University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and a Master of Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force Academy held at the FBI training center in Quantico, Virginia. Steve holds the designations of a Fraud Claims Law Associate and a Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator. Steve has served as Chair of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association’s (APCIA) Fraud Committee. He also as the past Chair of the NICB SIU Member Advisory Committee and is currently the Vice Chair of the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud (CAIF) Research Committee. Steve has instructed in various settings to include the International Association of Special Investigation Units annual conference, Property Loss Research Bureau conference and the Insurance Fraud Management annual conference.
